i met a man from texas 
that didn’t know how to bbq,
which i told him was fine
because i wanted tofu anyway,
so he handed me a used bergamot tea bag
and told me to go fetch

sometimes,
i like to pour bbq sauce
all over my wife’s purse,
because it’s impossible to get the smell out of 
the bag, but whenever she does errands
with me, i can’t help but think
of ribs and tofu
