i’m trying to write this distraction free,
but i’m not very successful in that endeavor,
since i’m also listening to a poetry podcast
while responding to an email about purchasing brazilian coffee
and glancing at the c market price on another tab,
and occasionally roasting more coffee for a customer’s order,
though when i’m really distracted, i just scroll for hours on end
through reddit looking at everything and nothing all at once
go to sleep,
go to sleep,
go to sleep,
stop scrolling through reddit,
stop trying to learn spanish,
stop listening to music that sounds the same
and is on a loop because the algorithm that feeds it to you
doesn’t know when to stop,
but you should,
now go to sleep,
make peace with the fact that you can, and will,
repeat this whole process over and over again,
though maybe do some exercise tomorrow to wear yourself out,
so tomorrow when you need to go to sleep,
go to sleep,
go to sleep,
you won’t have this issue again
I get the feeling that my youth is wasted on reddit,
or playing solitaire or chess or anything other than what I should be doing,
but then again, it seems like youth is destined to be wasted and wished for,
but why the fuck should I care….
