doctor’s advice

despite working as a coffee roaster,
i drink tea all day,
because i don’t want to be accused of stealing product,
though it’s mostly because my doctor said i should
lay off the caffeine for a while,
so i ignored her for the first 4 years,
then decided to give the doctor’s advice a shot

blank

it’s fun to print out
blank sheets of paper
from the printer, and then bu(ry)
them in the backyard so that maybe
the ground can write down a secret
that i can’t discern

large and in charge

i have a sneaking suspicion
that whoever is in charge of this
doesn’t feel too compelled to enunciate words
trapped in the back of their throat
that no one seems to know the definition of
quite yet
