TO SHAKE A TREE

trespassing through 
making as little noise as possible,
or constantly shaking the tree
until a nuke carrying the fate of all mankind 
shows itself as it wants to be known

GALA-LAZY

posters mismatched
and poorly glued to a galaxy 
too lazy to take anything that was grandfathered in
down,
and toys not picked up for thousands of years
and sometimes called human

BRICK AND MORTAR

kind words hitting harsh walls
of brick and mortar 
tearing apart the fabric of society
until there’s nothing left except a broken calculator
trying to tally up all the damage
