it’s just a joke

a coworker told a joke today,
but when i didn't laugh
they told me to get a sense of humor,
to which i thought i had,
though admittedly i didn't know, for sure that is,
so i decided to make a conscientious effort to get a sense of humor
and laugh
and laugh
and laugh,
perhaps too much,
because now some other coworkers are complaining to hr,
and they're having a meeting about me on Monday

conflicting background noise

i can’t hear the background music i’m playing,
because a coworker is playing their own background music,
and it’s drowning out what i’m listening to,

what’s more,
i forgot to bring my earbuds into work,
so i suppose i’ll just listen to what my coworker likes to listen to,
thankfully, it’s not bad,
not bad at all

Uncomfortable, Confused Morning Commute with an Insane Coworker

weaving in and out of traffic like a moonraker
snorting cocaine
while eating processed sugary food, like Little Debbie’s

not to say that i think this poem will make you stop your reckless driving,
but i still feel it necessary to at least let you know;
it made me uncomfortable
