the blood donation looked like a bake sale
giving away bodily fluids painted red,
sold in convenient, easy-to-carry, snack bars
that would look appetizing,
if they weren’t so nauseating,
and perhaps if i weren’t hung up by the fact that the blood center’s baked goods
were made from human blood,
or at least that’s what the rumor i started says
